Amber Heart

Long time no seen.
It has been quite a while since I have created something new and shared it with my readers.
It seems that I have experienced the lack of inspiration and needed to take a short brake from the beads. It is not that I have not been working with them - no, I just had to little time and mostly been working on the schemes..

But after a while inspiration came :) - just some new materials and some new techniques gave me the challenge and inspired new creation.

Amber heart

Amber heart - when the days grow short and cold the Amber heart keeps always warm. It brings the small part of the sun and reminds of the summer.

Dyzajn Market Prague - small debut with my works

It has been a while (as always) as not so much time is left for my works... Not that I have been lazy, just having a small child at home leaves less time to do certain things - beading especially :)

During last moth had many family occasions and had made my preparations for my debut at Prague's Dyzajn Market (1-2 August, 2014).
Lots of things had to be cataloged, priced and put into certain places. Some new creations were done (a bit later I will try to post them too) and here we go -

Scarab flight

I've been busy, I've been lazy and I had so few time to do things that I love.
My precious little bug is taking all the time that I have and not much time left for the crafts although I cannot say, that I have been lazy... just the work goes slowly and not mentioning the photo shoots :)

Well, I have sold two pieces recently, my soutache brooch "Tenderness" went to USA, one small necklace went to the lady in Prague (this one I even did not get the chance to take photo... )

And a few other new pieces were made - one of them necklace Scarab Flight

This time I have used - hand made polymer clay cabochon that I have made myself (it just has been waiting for its time), glass bicones, Czech rokajl and preciosa beads, natural leather backing and magnetic clasp.

Techniques: bead embroidery and bead weaving.

A bit of Victorian style

It has been quite a while. Not that I haven't been working - but I suppose too many changes at a time and too less of time for my favorite beading.
I've been creating a few things that took me to some sort of experimentation - silk and metallic ribbon. These two went into two different creations that share the same color palette, details and, well ... name.

Victorian Rose necklaceSize of the bead embroidered resin cabochon - 7 x 5.5 cm. Length of the silk and beads cord ~ 50 cm.

Materials used - resin cabochon, Czech man made pearls, Czech glass drops, Preciosa twin beads, toho and Preciosa seed beads, silk, natural leather backing, magnetic clasp.

Victorian braceletLength of the bead embroidered bracelet - 18 cm, width - 7 cm.

Materials used - resin cabochon, Czech man made pearls, Preciosa twin beads, toho and Preciosa seed beads, metallic ribbon, natural leather backing, wide magnetic clasp.

Etsy and more about Etsy

It has been a while since I've started my shop on Etsy. At the moment not much luck with it, only "Black Betty" was sold here. But now I am glad to see that finally, I am getting some more visibility.

Thank you for Vicky Diane and Ruta for including me into their fabulous treasury lists that I would like to share:

School of colors - Eagle spirit

Not so long ago, our Lithuanian beaders and bead lovers have created a new FB group to share inspirations, ideas on how to and have fun :)
One part of our fun was creating the school of colors and color perception. We decided to learn how to look our of the box and mix different colors.
First lesson asked to take one cab and use a bit of imagination and describe the feeling and association it brings.

My one had gave me a true dream of mountains, blue sky and eagles fly free. A true inspiration of Indian spirit the true spirit of the king of birds - Eagle.

Playing mermaids

I do not have much time right now and all the beading that I do, I do it while my precious sleeps. That means not much time at all.
But the last few days were calm and with a bit time for myself and beading I went through my bead stash and took some shells that were laying quite for a long time. Combined with Preciosa beads it came into a creation that only a mermaid could wear :) so here it is -
