My amber searches

recently I have re-discovered the joy of working with natural amber. This is a unique process, when creation of jewelry involves not only bead embroidery and beadweaving but also work with raw amber - cutting, polishing and etc.
I have received a wonderful gift for Christmas - micro cutter and polisher from Dremel series, and I must admit I highly enjoy working with it. Working with raw amber material, has given a new level and perspective to my work.

This new necklace - actually involves my work from cutting and polishing raw Baltic amber into designing and then accomplishing the whole idea of jewelry.

Proud to show my new variation of Baltic amber necklace - Baltica

As always you can find my work available at my Etsy shop.

Because it is never enough

Yes, because it is never enough of pendants. Few creations made combining bead embroidery and black brass bases, came into life and now wait for their new owners at my Etsy shop.

Deep Space - steampunk pendant

Dreamy Fish pendant

A few rings

Recently I have tried to use black bases and combine them with my bead embroidery.
The results were pretty interesting and not mentioning few pendants I have made few rings to my collection. Both of them have no name and are available on my Etsy shop.

New collar necklaces at my shop

And here is a tribute to my new collar bib necklaces all made completely by me including the scheme tutorial. Played with all different Czech Preciosa beads that haven't used before - Tile, Chilli and Thorn.
The results are available on my Etsy shop.

New earring arrivals

There has been something that I have made back in October but due to the lack of time have not been able to share here.

My new earring collection that is now available on my Etsy shop.

Gone already

Here is a small tribute to two of my works, that already have been sold.
I must admit that at this moment I am making my new items far quicker than I can post them on my blog.

Here are my new plays with new Preciosa Chilli beads, not mentioning Czech Tile and Thorn beads.

Black star

This was and is one of my older creations. One of those that waited for their time to step into the show. And this is one of those rate cases, that I work with bead weaving only (although I must admit this October, I left put bead embroidery aside and worked almost on beadweaving only).

Black Star
For exceptional woman, the star of the evening dress. Vintage look and feel.
I must admit I love this piece.

Available at my Etsy and Amazon Handmade shops.

Productive October - Coral Reef

This October is somehow very productive for me. Yes, I admit that some of my works, that I share are older ones, the ones that waited for their photo-shoot, but only some of them.
During the summer I have finally learned bead crochet technique - so I have crocheted couple of ropes for the future necklaces. One of them is already available and here I am glad to share this creation - crocheted and bead embroidered necklace - Coral Reef - with the scent of deep blue sea and waving coral branches.

As always available on my Etsy and Amazon Handmade shops.

VooDoo Queen

Does anyone remember - Blues Brothers - not the first movie, but the second one and their journey to New Orleans and voodoo queen.
I do, not all the times of course, but on the times like these yes, and that is where my inspiration came from - colorful, lively and yes, a bit of Halloween, but mostly Voodoo soup for a real Queen of Voodoo.

Available at my Etsy shop and Amazon Handmade.

Longing for a spring

Autumn at it's worst just had started, and I already miss the sun and spring. I love the time when nature awakes and everything is covered in green again and the air is filled with scents of blooming trees.

And yes, as almost everyone - I love blooming sakura trees and their gentle appeal. This work was made for one of the team challenges - theme Japan, but did not make it there. And after a few months of waiting for photo shoot time - I would like to introduce you to -

Blooming Sakura

Sakura
Softly flowing
Soaring higher
Carried on the gentlest breeze

Pale pink shade
Smooth as silk
Slowly falling from the trees

Gently blowing
Round and round
Twirling, swirling to and fro

Just in spring
With sunlight's touch
Will cherry blossoms grow

Materials: super duo beads, Czech seed beads, Travertine beads, Czech glass beads, memory wire, metal clasp.

And as always available at my Etsy shop or at Amazon Handmade.

Another farewell

Another farewell and my baby creation has gone to it's new home.
It took a long time, but finally "Autumn Sun" has found it's owner and I really hope that she will love this necklace.

Finally it is here - Valkyrie

Gosh. Finally my work was posted and I can share my BOTB'15 entry with you.
It has been a difficult time, but now - just votes are before me and either I go to the next round or leave at this. Either way it has been a wonderful experience and it gives me joy to see that I am among the best.

This is how it begins - when idea transforms into project.
My love for the mythology and especially Norse and Celtic. Well this time I went into Norse and Vikings. Norse dragons that appear on houses and ships, they have inspired me and when I thought about who should be wearing this - why not Valkyrie? She's strong, she's a fighter. She should be the one to wear it.

Necklace - Valkyrie

Finally I'm here :) - thanks for waiting.

Another joy of recognition

I while ago one of my necklaces "Dreaming seahorse" got into selection of best works. As of today one of my favorite suppliers Koralky.cz has pronounced my last necklace "Flowers of Winterfell" as best work of the week.

I am so proud of my work :)

Flowers of Winterfell

Something to rest my eyes and mind after finishing my B.O.T.B'15 piece (yes, it is finished already and photos just need small editing and will be off).

June challenge at fellow ETSY beadweavers team was pronounced and theme was chosen by my fellow member and friend Edita. This time we all needed to look for the inspiration at "The Game of Thrones" TV series.

I must admit that imagination runs wild, and I had dozen ideas for the different creations, but when I calmed myself down - I thought about the Winterfell and Stark women. Beautiful and fragile as flowers, but also hard strugling for their survival and never giving up. Just as fragile flower blossoms in cold north winds, that bloom and give a ray of joy.

Flowers of Winterfell. (and yes, that is me :) )

and a bit fun on the side, with my little precious helper and inspiration.

 Cheers to all.
As always you can find this necklace at my Etsy shop.

Grateful dead

Oh hi, to everyone that reads this and occasionally visits my blog.
There has not been much happening recent days - except of my work on BOTB entry, that consumes all my space time. But still understandably sometimes I just get tired of the same piece that I have been seeing ... seems like ages...
And sometimes I just need to rest my eyes and look for some other inspiration, and maybe do something else.

This time while surfing the waves of the almighty internet, I came across the photos, that became my inspiration. So I search my bead supply stash and went out of my comfort zone and made something different.

The inspiration came from the festivals in Latino America and the cult related to Santa Muerta (saint Death) that supposedly is the patron of poor and all the criminals. Why? Because she treats everyone the same. She visits anyone. Anyway I do not want to be creepy, but the cult seemed interesting (I saw some of the documentaries and read some articles on that earlier) and now I saw some professional photo shooting portraits on this theme. And got inspired. The result is to your judging.

Boho bracelet Grateful Dead.

And as always you can read more and find this item in my Etsy Shop.

Farewell to some of my works

Good news for me, while I am busy with my BOTB15 work - that I cannot show yet, due to the rules of participation, - and while some works lay unfinished aside my Etsy shop is slowly moving and some works got sold last night.

I say farewell to 2 of my bellowed ones:

Dreaming seahorses

and Baltica

Both of them are leaving to the same new home in US, I really hope that the new owner will enjoy them to the fullest.

Custom order - seahorse

As I have mentioned before - I have received a custom order that was rather a challenge to me and I am glad that I have managed to fulfill the clients wish and she is satisfied with the result.

The color and theme inspiration came from my recent work - necklace "Dreaming seahorses" - the client has contacted me with the question - would I be able to create a small brooch approx. 5 cm size with a shape of seahorse using the same color palette as in the necklace.

Well, the size was a challenge and problem, as the original seahorse is two times bigger than the new one, but giving a try I have created the smallest version that could be bead embroidered and here is the result (I am sorry for the photo quality, but being in hurry I was able to take photos only with a phone).
